Golden Ball Ceremony: Appointment, Conveyor Channels and Top Candidates

The Theater de Chatelet in Paris will host the 2019 Golden Ball Awards on Monday evening by France Football magazine.

The ceremony will start at 9:30 Cairo time, 10:30 Mecca time and will be transmitted through the open channel "B Sport" in addition to a live broadcast of "France Football" on social media platforms.

The prestigious French magazine has been awarding the prize regularly since 1956 as this will be the 64th edition. The Golden Ball saw a merger with FIFA and was jointly presented between 2010 and 

2015 before the break-up again.

Lionel Messi, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane are among the top three winners this year, out of 30 nominees, including Mohamed Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo, Killian Mbappe and Karim Benzema.

At 6, the disclosure will begin in descending order of the 30th to 4th positions.

 The winner of the remaining three candidates will be waiting to be announced at the end of the ceremony.

In addition to the World Player of the Year award, the “Cuba” award will be presented to the best young under-21 player, the Lev Yashin Award for the best goalkeeper, as well as the World Player of the Year award.

Voting rules ..

The French magazine has selected 182 journalists around the world to vote. Each journalist selects five players from the first to the fifth, with the first-ranking get 6 points and the second on 4 and the third on 3 and so .. The highest accumulated points get the prize directly .

While two players are equal in number of points, the final word in this case will be the principle of "most chosen first."

In other words, whoever is chosen in the first place will win the award.

Journalists have already submitted their voices to the magazine on November 9.

Voting Criteria

The magazine set out three rules for choosing the best player in the world for journalists to vote.

- "Player character" in terms of fair play and talent.

 - "Performance" either individually or collectively.

- "The player's career and history".
