BMW has made some incredible M-w cars in the past. Wagons E34 and E61 M5 jumped directly to mind. Even the idea of the E46 M3 wagon was brilliant, although unfortunately it did not reach the production stage. We always call nerds to drop a new M wagon, but that doesn't seem to happen at all.

Overall, BMW M-wagons have historically been produced and sold in small numbers. These were cars geared directly to enthusiasts, and we both know that while enthusiasts make a lot of noise, our purchasing power is relatively small. BMW M president Markus Flasch recently talked to Car Magazine about the possibility of vehicles appearing in the future M portfolio. Spoiler alert, it's low. Like, does not exist.

SUV like X6 M, X5 M, X4 M and so on. I have no doubt that these cars have all the right M pieces that make them legitimate, but they are so huge. And the United Nations. Many times very ugly. But they have a collective appeal because the big car is what everyone wants now, so, money.

It will never be my M car.
